Share Your Experience of Being Scammed
Have you ever been scammed when buying heavy equipment?
When that happens, do you take legal action, or do you just accept it?
When the deal is cross-border, I believe most people just accept it. The cost of suing across countries is just too high—it’s often several times the cost of the equipment itself.
Plus, buyers usually can’t provide enough evidence, and sellers often have protection from local authorities, so the chance of winning a lawsuit is very small.
Does that mean we should just accept it when we run into scammers?
Of course not!
Even if government protection doesn’t work in cross-border disputes, and even if you can’t recover your loss, you can stop scammers from cheating others. That’s the power of the internet.
I’ve set up a blacklist forum called “I Got Scammed”. When you run into dishonest companies, you can write down your experience so others don’t fall for the same tricks.
You may have lost just one piece of equipment—but the scammer company could lose its future.
In the past, cross-border second-hand equipment trading had no real safety—everything relied on trust between buyer and seller. Without oversight, there was no guarantee. But starting today, let’s list these companies one by one, use public opinion to expose them, and leave business to honest companies. Let’s make the industry more professional and reliable.
You can report any problem with a seller:
If they promised you EPA protection but didn’t deliver, you can complain.
If they promised original equipment but didn’t, you can complain.
If they promised the equipment was fully functional but it wasn’t, you can complain.
If they promised after-sales support but didn’t provide it, you can complain.
If they promised to ship the equipment, but after receiving your deposit they didn’t, you can complain.
If they promised the equipment matched the video, but you received something different, you can complain.
Every action you take makes the industry better and prevents others from suffering the same loss. It also makes your next purchase safer because others will share their experiences, and you can avoid problematic companies.
Let’s take action together!
