Solving the Dipstick and Filler Tube Issue in Mini Excavators
#1
When maintaining a mini excavator with a Briggs & Stratton 13.5 engine, many owners encounter the hassle of checking oil levels and refilling the engine oil. A user shared their frustration with the dipstick and oil filler tube placement in these mini excavators. The dipstick is often located in an awkward position, making it difficult to check oil without getting your hands dirty, especially when working in tight spaces.
To overcome this issue, a remote dipstick filler tube system was considered. This system involves installing a flexible tube that extends from the dipstick tube, allowing easier access for checking oil and filling the engine without the need to contort your body into uncomfortable positions. This modification is particularly useful for those who use the excavator frequently and need to perform quick, hassle-free maintenance.
Benefits of the Remote Dipstick Filler Tube:
  1. Convenience: It makes checking and filling oil much more accessible, especially in confined spaces.
  2. Time-saving: Saves time spent fumbling around to access the original dipstick and filler tube.
  3. Clean Maintenance: Reduces the chances of getting oil on hands and clothes during maintenance.
  4. Ease of Use: Ideal for those who work alone or in tight work environments where accessing the engine area is a challenge.
This modification is a simple yet effective solution for mini excavator owners, ensuring that maintenance is easier and more efficient.
